Heavy Quarkonium Effective Theory

چکیده
We formulate a QCD-based effective theory approach to heavy quarkonia-like systems as c̄c and b̄b resonances and Bc states. We apply the method to inclusive decays, working out a few examples in detail. CERN-TH.7468/94 September 1994

Heavy Quarkonium Physics from Effective Field Theories
I review recent progress in heavy quarkonium physics from an effective field theory perspective. In this unifying framework, I discuss advances in perturbative calculations for low-lying quarkonium observables and in lattice calculations for high-lying ones, and progress and lasting puzzles in quarkonium production. متن کاملQuarkonium: an effective field theory approach
We discuss heavy quarkonium in the framework of pNRQCD, a QCD effective theory appropriate for the study of heavy quark bound systems.
متن کاملQCD Effective Field Theories for Heavy Quarkonium
QCD nonrelativistic effective field theories (NREFT) are the modern and most suitable frame to describe heavy quarkonium properties. Here I summarize few relevant concepts and some of the interesting physical applications (spectrum, decays, production) of NREFT.
متن کاملEffective field theories for heavy quarkonium at finite temperature
We discuss the recent development of effective field theories for quarkonium at finite temperature.
متن کاملEffective field theories for heavy quarkonium
We review recent theoretical developments in heavy quarkonium physics from the point of view of Effective Field Theories of QCD. We discuss Non-Relativistic QCD and concentrate on potential Non-Relativistic QCD. Our main goal will be to derive QCD Schrödinger-like equations that govern heavy quarkonium physics in the weak and strong coupling regime. We also discuss a selected set of application...
متن کاملModel Independent Results for Heavy Quarkonium
We review a number of results for the spectrum and inclusive decays of heavy quarkonium systems which can be derived from QCD under well controlled approximations. They essentially follow from the hierarchy of scales in these systems, which can be efficiently exploited using non-relativistic effective field theories. In particular, we discuss under which conditions non-relativistic potential mo...
